2 ✕ 1 (Two Times One) is a two-volume publication published both online and in the form of a print book at Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht (2015–2016). The two volumes each explore a theme, Compression and Augmentation, as dual processes in the production and communication of cultural practices today. It gathers the works of twenty nine artists, writers, architects, and poets in the form of contributions that vary from essays, to images, and stencil insert. The editorial team consists of: Golnar Abbasi, Christopher Clarijs, Beny Wagner, Teresa Cos, Ruben Castro, Alina Schmuch. The design and making of the website, and the design of the books is by Christphe Clarijs. The publication is made possible by the generous support of Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, Netherlands.
